A dad was killed in a shocking “random” attack outside a Beckenham Sainsbury’s. Now, the attacker is set to be sentenced for manslaughter.

Victim Suffered Deadly Head Injuries

Andrew Clark, 43, was viciously assaulted outside the Upper Elmers End Road supermarket at 8.30pm on March 16. He suffered severe head injuries and tragically died in hospital three days later.

Attacker’s Guilty Plea Downgraded to Manslaughter

Demiesh Williams, 30, from Croydon, was initially charged with murder. But at Woolwich Crown Court in July, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter, an “acceptable” plea according to the court.

Williams is due to be sentenced next week at the same court.

Family Mourns a Kind Father Lost to Senseless Violence

Friends and family remember Andrew as a genuinely kind man. They say he should never have lost his life over something as trivial as someone pushing in a queue.
