Man Arrested in Murder Investigation into Disappearance of Reanne Coulson

Police in Coventry have made a second arrest in connection with the disappearance of Reanne Coulson, a 34-year-old woman last seen over a month ago. The development marks a significant step forward in a fast-moving investigation that has gripped the local community.

A 42-year-old man was arrested early this morning on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody. A 53-year-old man, previously arrested in connection with the case, has been released on bail under strict conditions.

Reanne was last seen at 9:46 p.m. on 21 May 2025 at St Mary & Benedict Church on Raglan Street, shortly after visiting a food bank. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Police: “Investigation Moving Quickly”

Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, leading the case, described today’s arrest as a “significant development”.

“We’re following several active lines of enquiry. I would urge anyone who saw Reanne on 21 May or has any information about her movements to come forward. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

Police have stepped up patrols in the Raglan Street area and are continuing to review CCTV footage and conduct forensic searches.

Family’s Plea: “We Will Find You, Reanne”

In a powerful public statement, Kirsten Coulson, Reanne’s twin sister, appealed for help and spoke openly about Reanne’s struggles.

“Reanne is not only my sister but my twin, a mum, a daughter, and an aunt. Her life has not been easy these past few years, but she is deeply loved. We are worried sick. We will find you, Reanne—no matter what.”

Reanne was known to have worked as a sex worker and faced challenges linked to a vulnerable lifestyle, something her family hopes will not detract from efforts to find her.

How You Can Help

“Even the smallest detail could make a difference,” added Det Supt Munro.

Community Support and Ongoing Coverage

Reanne’s disappearance has prompted a wave of support across Coventry, with local residents sharing her image and offering information to police. The investigation has highlighted the risks faced by vulnerable women and sparked wider conversations about support services, safety, and stigma.

As the search continues, police and Reanne’s family remain united in their plea: help us bring her home.
