Man Arrested After easyJet Flight Met by Police at Glasgow Airport Following In-Flight Disturbance Glasgow
A 41-year-old man has been arrested after police were called to meet an easyJet flight at Glasgow Airport this morning, following reports of disruptive behaviour onboard.
Flight EZY609, an Airbus A319 (registration G-EZAN), was en route from London Luton Airport when pilots issued a 7700 emergency squawk code, signalling an in-flight emergency just minutes before landing in Glasgow around 8.20am.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft was directed to a remote stand, where officers from Police Scotland boarded the plane and removed the passenger.
Passenger Arrested
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed:
“We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July 2025. A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
No injuries have been reported, and the nature of the disturbance has not been fully disclosed, though police continue to investigate the circumstances.
easyJet: Safety Not Compromised
In a statement, easyJet praised the actions of its cabin crew:
“Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour onboard.
“easyJet’s crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time.

The airline confirmed that the flight continued to disembark normally after the situation was resolved.
