Police are hunting witnesses after a man was slashed with a knife at Maidstone services, right by junction 8 of the M20.
Victim Injured in Late-Night Assault
The victim suffered cuts to his arm and chest between 11pm and 11:25pm on Friday, 3 October 2025. He was walking from the Days Inn Hotel when an unknown attacker approached near the Esso petrol station and launched the unprovoked assault.
Suspect Description Released
Officers describe the suspect as a white male, about 6ft tall, with stubble and dark clothes. He reportedly spoke with an Eastern European accent. The victim managed to get back to the hotel before police were called. He was hospitalised but has since been discharged.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“We are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident,” said PC Megan Lovelock. “The area is well-lit and busy with cars and lorries at that time. Someone may have captured the attack on phone or dashcam.”
