Police were called at 3.33am on Friday, 7 July to reports of gun shots heard in Canterbury Road, Croydon.
Armed officers attended and carried out a search of the area. A firearm was recovered at the scene. There were no reported injuries.
Seven people were arrested nearby and taken into custody at a south London police station.
An investigation is underway by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command and their enquiries are ongoing.
