DRUGS BARRON Man Admits Exploiting Teenagers in Swindon Drug Ring

Kyum Raham, 23, pleaded guilty to human trafficking and drug supply charges at Swindon Crown Court. The man from Rodbourne Cheney used teenagers under 16 as drug runners, police reveal.

From Teen Runners to Drug Kingpin

On October 17, Raham admitted three counts of arranging or facilitating travel with a view to exploitation and supplying Class A drugs including cocaine, heroin, and cannabis. Police say he exploited vulnerable youngsters, promising them a better life if they dealt drugs for him.

Hidden Phones Exposed the Operation

Raham was arrested on September 4 after police found two mobile phones at his home. One was cleverly hidden in an ironing board and used as a dedicated cocaine and cannabis drug line. The second, a smartphone, contained messages showing how Raham directed teenagers to distribute drugs across Swindon.

Serious Organised Crime Unit Speaks Out

“Raham exploited these teenagers for his own gain, arranging their travel around Swindon to exploit them into dealing drugs on his behalf,” said DI Champion.

“This criminality devastates young lives and families, and fuels wider crime like antisocial behaviour and violence. We’re raising awareness among parents, teachers, and kids on spotting signs of exploitation, such as unexplained money, dropping out of school, mood changes, or secretive social media use.

“We’re glad Raham has admitted these crimes and is now in custody awaiting sentencing in December.”

What’s Next?

  • Raham will be sentenced on December 11, 2025.
  • The police continue their investigations into human trafficking and drug supply networks.
  • Awareness campaigns aim to protect vulnerable youngsters from similar exploitation.
