Manhunt Underway for Armed Fugitive on the Run in Bucks

Thames Valley Police are hunting for Osei Kuffour, who escaped from HMP Springhill near Grendon Underwood, Buckinghamshire. The 36-year-old failed to return to prison after his licence was revoked on the evening of Sunday, 19 October 2025.

Dangerous Criminal Still at Large

Kuffour is now unlawfully free in the community without any legal licence. He stands around 5ft 5ins tall with a stocky build. He was last spotted wearing dark tracksuit bottoms or jeans and a black jacket. Police say he often hangs around Ilford in London.

Violent Past: Tried for Attempted Murder

Kuffour was handed a 25-year sentence for shooting a woman in the face during a 2012 drug deal gone wrong in Newham. The victim, aged 36, was hit from just a metre away and the bullet lodged behind her cheekbone.

Police Warn Public: Don’t Approach, Call 999

Detective Inspector Mark Hill said: “We are appealing for the help of the public to trace Osei Kuffour, who is unlawfully at large after failing to return to HMP Springhill.

“If you see Kuffour, do not approach him and call 999 immediately.

“If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call 101 or report online quoting reference number 43250534171.
