Paramedics Rush to Treat ‘Unconscious’ Man at St Pancras Station

Overview

A man was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious and surrounded by blood at St Pancras Station on Monday evening.

The incident unfolded shortly after 9pm on July 28 at the top of the Thameslink escalators to Platform B, prompting a swift response from British Transport Police, forensics teams, and London Ambulance Service paramedics.

Witnesses described a “major incident” with a pool of blood, a medical curtain erected for privacy, and what appeared to be CPR and a blood transfusion taking place on the station floor.

Photos from the scene show blood at the top of the escalator and forensic officers taking DNA and fingerprint samples from the handrails.

One witness told UKNIP:

“I saw around eight police vehicles—cars and a van—lined up outside on both sides of the station.
I saw an unconscious man being worked on by paramedics. They were trying to resuscitate him – and there was what looked like a blood transfusion bag.”

Despite the graphic nature of the scene, the station remained open as emergency services carried out their work.

Forensic Teams on Scene

Forensic officers were seen taking samples from stair rails and surrounding surfaces. The man, who remains unnamed, was later transported to hospital, though his current condition has not been disclosed.

Tommy Robinson Seen Nearby

The incident coincided with the presence of far-right activist Tommy Robinson inside the station earlier that day. He was seen handing out flyers promoting an upcoming protest and was filmed nearby as security and paramedics arrived to treat the victim.

Footage circulating on social media appears to show Robinson walking past moments before the medical curtain was erected. In another video, he can be seen with a cut on his forehead, which he later claimed was caused by walking into a door.

Public Appeal

A spokesperson for British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed an active investigation:

“Officers are aware of an incident tonight (28 July) at St Pancras station and are investigating.
If anyone has any information, please text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 655 of 28 July.”

Background

Robinson, who was recently released from prison following a successful appeal to reduce his sentence, was expected to attend a protest outside a migrant hotel in Epping over the weekend but failed to appear.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Sunday’s protest in Epping remained peaceful.
