The parents of Cameron Arneaud, a 20-year-old young man who tragically lost his life in a road traffic collision, have shared moving tributes to their beloved son. Cameron, who had recently relocated from Bedfordshire to Rushden, met with a fatal accident on Irthlingborough Road, Finedon, at the junction with Oxford Street on the evening of Friday, December 22, 2023.

The collision unfolded as Cameron was on his way home from work, riding his motorbike, and it collided with a Toyota Prius. The 27-year-old driver of the Toyota was subsequently arrested by the police and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

In an emotional statement released by Cameron’s grieving parents, Alison and Dan, they painted a vivid picture of their son as a polite, well-mannered, and warm-hearted young man who had endeared himself to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Describing Cameron as a loving, caring, thoughtful, and affectionate individual, the statement also highlighted his notable academic achievements, his passion for football (with Arsenal being his favourite team), his love for gaming, and his unwavering dedication to his family.

The statement lovingly read, “He just loved life.”

Cameron, who had recently secured a job with the National Accident Helpline, was celebrated as someone who always steered clear of trouble and consistently placed his family at the forefront of his priorities. The tribute from his parents encapsulated the essence of a vibrant young man who lived his life with positivity and boundless enthusiasm.
