Catford is reeling after two separate stabbing incidents rocked the area in the early hours of October 15. One victim has tragically died while another fights for their life in hospital.
Late Night Horror on Rushey Green
The first attack happened just after 3am outside a row of shops on Rushey Green. A man in his 20s was found stabbed and rushed to hospital, but he sadly died soon after. Police have informed his next of kin and are providing specialist support.

Borough Commander Trevor Lawry spoke out about the incident: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man who have lost someone they love in such a tragic way. A dedicated homicide team is piecing together this morning’s events.”
No arrests have been made so far.

Second Stabbing Near Mountsfield Park
Just hours later, around 8am, emergency services responded to another stabbing at Farley Mews, close to Mountsfield Park. A man was injured and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition remains unclear.
At the moment, police have not confirmed if the two stabbings are connected. The Met Police are investigating and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
