CHARGES Rap Star Ghetts Charged After Fatal Hit-and-Run

Justin Clarke-Samuel, known as rap star Ghetts, faced Stratford Magistrates’ Court on October 20. He’s been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Deadly Crash on Redbridge Lane East

On October 18, emergency crews rushed to Redbridge Lane East after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car. The driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, later died in hospital.

Rapper Held in Custody Ahead of Next Hearing

Clarke-Samuel was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on October 27. Authorities expect the charge to be upgraded following the victim’s death.
