The vehicle crashed following a sharp bend in the road near Figheldean following a police pursuit.

A police dog van was also involved and collided with the wall on the bend.

A police officer was airlifted to hospital to be treated for head injuries, thought to be non-life threatening or life changing. A teenage passenger was also taken to hospital with injuries thought to be minor.

The driver, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, failing to stop and -dangerous driving. He remains in police custody for questioning.

The police dogs in the vehicle at the time were not injured and are being looked after while our handler recovers.
