As the manhunt for Abdul Ezedi continues, the Metropolitan Police has released critical CCTV video footage from Tesco on Caledonian Road. In the footage, Ezedi is seen purchasing what appears to be water from the self-service checkout before departing the store. This new evidence is part of the ongoing effort to locate and apprehend Ezedi, who is wanted in connection with a vicious attack in Clapham that left a woman critically injured.

The CCTV footage provides valuable insights into Ezedi’s movements on January 31, 2024. It is now the last confirmed sighting of him, timestamped at 21:33 hours when he exited Tower Hill Underground station. Before this, he had changed trains at Victoria Station, arriving on the Victoria Line at 21:10 hours and departing on the eastbound District Line at 21:16 hours.

The release of this footage underscores the Metropolitan Police’s commitment to tracking down Ezedi and bringing him to justice. Authorities believe that there may be individuals who possess information about Ezedi’s whereabouts but have yet to come forward. A reward of up to £20,000 has been offered for information leading to his arrest.

Commander Jon Savell emphasized the significance of public assistance, stating, “I am hugely grateful to the public for the significant number of calls that we have received. Your help is critical. A reward of up to £20,000 is now available for information leading to his arrest.”

He also issued a stern warning to those potentially harbouring Ezedi: “I must warn anyone who is helping Ezedi to evade capture – if you are harbouring or assisting him, then you will be arrested.”

The 31-year-old woman injured in the Clapham attack remains in a critical but stable condition in the hospital, having suffered life-changing injuries. She was known to Abdul Ezedi.

The ongoing manhunt to locate Ezedi is led by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, in collaboration with various specialist departments and local policing teams. Additionally, cooperation extends to the Home Office, UK Border Force, UK Visas and Immigration, the National Crime Agency, British Transport Police, and several other police forces.

Details about Abdul Ezedi have been circulated to all UK police forces and ports. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the dedicated inquiry line at 020 7175 2784 or, in case of an immediate sighting, dial 999. Those wishing to remain anonymous can reach out to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
