Detectives have charged two individuals with murder in connection to a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in Southwark. Matthew Henry, aged 39, residing at Coopers Road SE1, and Nicole Quamina, aged 34 with no fixed address, will both appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 13. These charges were formally laid on Friday, January 12.

The tragic event unfolded at approximately 6.50am on Tuesday, January 9, when officers received reports of an injured man on Old Kent Road, SE1. Despite the swift response of emergency services, the victim, identified as Carlton McCloud, aged 47, tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His next of kin have been notified and are receiving support during this difficult time.

A subsequent post-mortem examination determined the cause of death to be sharp force trauma to the chest.

In addition to the charges brought against Matthew Henry and Nicole Quamina, two other individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the ongoing investigation. On Tuesday, January 9, a 54-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman (referred to as were both taken into custody and have since been released on bail.
