Former West Mercia Police Federation Secretary, James Harrison, 53, of Worcester Road, Droitwich, has been charged with fraud in connection with the alleged misappropriation of members’ funds.

The charges stem from purported incidents involving the misuse of West Mercia Police Federation members’ funds and abuse of hospitality spanning the years 2010 to 2018.

Harrison, who held the position of Secretary and Treasurer of the West Mercia Police Federation during the aforementioned period, faces a total of 17 counts of fraud related to his role within the organization.

He is scheduled to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 14, to address the charges brought against him.

The allegations raise serious concerns about financial mismanagement within the West Mercia Police Federation and highlight the importance of accountability and transparency in handling members’ funds.
