OAP Airlifted to Hospital After Being Hit by Car in Haslemere
A man in his 80’sĀ has been airlifted toĀ hospital following a serious collisionĀ in Haslemere. Surrey Police haveĀ confirmedĀ a man in his 80s has been taken to St Georgeās Hospital with serious head injuries. It is believedĀ that moments before, the man had been out shopping for shoes in the nearby Cockerill Shoes. Staff who witnessed the incident ranĀ with first aid kits to offer assistanceĀ before the arrival of the emergency services. The man wasĀ taken by ambulance to St Georges Hospital, Tooting, with serious head injuries. The car driver was shaken but is otherwise uninjured. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the town centre. Road closures remain in place whilst emergency services are in attendance. They are expected to reopen later this afternoon.
