The Kent Sussex and Surrey air ambulance has landed on the stretch of highway and treated those injured while fire crews battle to remove the roof of a vehicle that had rolled over and collided with the back of an HGV.
Large lines of traffic have formed, and the road has been closed while an investigation and clean-up operation is underway. Trapped traffic is gradually being cleared from the scene.
Kent Police have been approached for comment
